Title: Deputy General Manager
Reporting to: General Manager in Albania
Head Office in Germany
Basic purpose: Manage and control the financial activity of the company in Albania
Key tasks:
· Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports under IFRS and in compliance with Head Office financial reporting policies for management purposes
· Coordinating the preparation of reports under Albanian Standards and tax (VAT) legislation for statutory purposes
· Designing and implementing internal control systems to ensure compliance with Head Office policies’ framework and statutory regulations
· Coordinating the preparation of the Operating Plans for the business, of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
· Assessing regularly the effectiveness of applied financial control methods
· Monitoring the correct application of financial procedures for transactions processing
· Maintaining relationships with internal and external auditors, state authorities
· Managing and supervising the financial and accounting team
General Requirements:
· University degree in Finance, Accounting or Management (Masters and especially an MBA will be an advantage)
· 3-5 years of previous working experience in a similar position
· Practical knowledge of IFRS
· Very good knowledge in the area of financial control and reporting
· Proven planning and organizing skills, analytical thinking and systematic approach
· Excellent communication and ability to liaise and coordinate with key external partners
· Mature personality with strong people management
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and local accounting software
· Fluent German ( additional knowledge of English will be an asset)
