Marled Travel & Events is looking for a Tour Operations Coordinator
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain effective business relationship with suppliers (Hotels, Tour Guides, Transportation companies, Restaurants)
· Negotiate rates with suppliers to enable competitive pricing
· Manage Tour Operation Budgets; Update trip costing and ensure trips are running to budget and profitable
· Establish and manage Tour Ops schedules
· Make sure the tour operating staff: tour leaders and tour managers operate the tours under the required standards
· Maintain and follow up on the supplier contact database,
· Involve in product development and promotion
· Assist in sale activities via email/telephone or direct sale
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Good knowledge of Albania and Balkan Region destinations
· Previous professional experience in the tourism industry
· Excellent computer skills and Ability to use Microsoft Office and other operating systems
· Excellent command of English; other languages are an advantage
· Bachelor’s degree in tourism, business management or other related fields
· Understanding of basic Web and publishing processes
· Presentation skills & Ability to edit and run PowerPoint Presentations
OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
· Strong communication and influencing skills
· Ability to create strong working relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers
· Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
· Efficient administration skills including a close attention to detail
· A willingness to work flexible hours to meet demand
