LANGUAGE COORDINATOR
[FONT="]The position[/FONT]
[FONT="]This position reports to the Group Language Resource & Quality Manager in Amsterdam with a dotted line to Production Manager Marketing. The successful applicant will assume responsibility for managing the linguistic resources and quality for one or several languages. The Language Coordinator will execute processes and workflows to achieve the desired level of linguistic quality per client expectations in clos liason with the project managers. The successful applicant will also be responsible for maintaining and nurturing a pool of qualified resources within the Group’s budget guidelines to maximise profitability.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Specific Responsibilities include:[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Manage and optimise availability information for internal and external linguistic resources working with the dashboard and availability calendars.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Manage short term and long term planning and availability of the linguistic teams.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Provide and manage schedule heads-ups to the the linguistic teams.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Liase with the client facing project managers in Cork and the project managers in Tirana on schedules and availability.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Maintain a dashboard of linguistic resouces per business division[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Mentor and manage internal linguistic resources – ensure availability and utilisation in an efficient, fair and profitable manner. [/FONT]
n [FONT="]Monitor and manage external linguistic resources – ensure availability and utilisation in an efficient, fair and profitable manner. [/FONT]
n [FONT="]Monitor project allocation so that work is distributed evenly across freelancers in the dashboard to ensure sufficient quality levels from all resources. [/FONT]
n [FONT="]Monitor project allocation so that work is distributed fairly across freelancers in the dashboard (small projects versus large projects). [/FONT]
n [FONT="]Ensure complicance to the dashboard by PMs – right resources for the right project at the right time[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Liase with Lead Translators and senior translator ensure new resources are utilised, coached and brought up to the right level of expertise. [/FONT]
n [FONT="]Support and monitor the Q&A process in close coordination with the project managers.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Contribute to internal process improvements across the LocalEyes group.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Evaluate performance and quality of linguistic resources and provide feedback to the appropriate stakeholders.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Monitor processes and tools to evaluate the linguistic quality of deliverables.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Be a proactive member of the vendor management team, developing and contributing their expertise on vendor projects and deliverables.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Maintain and update internal Style Guides and Terminology lists to ensure linguistic consistency and quality per business division across the group[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Maintain a language resource induction and quality manual in collaboration with the Group Language Resource Onboarding Manager[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Report relevant issues and trends involving vendors to the relevant stakeholders in Amsterdam, Tirana and Pavia. [/FONT]
[FONT="]Requirements[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Degree in Translation or Project Management, Quality Assurance or relevant industry experience[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Knowledge of translation processes, standards and best practices used in the industry[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Knowledge and experience of Translation Memory Management tools, Terminology Management Tools, Defect Management Systems [/FONT]
n [FONT="]Ability to come up with creative solutions[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Ability to assimilate, hold and interpret a wide variety of information[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Excellent verbal, written communication skills essential as English may not be first language of target groups [/FONT]
n [FONT="]Excellent people management and virtual collaboration skills[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Organisational and planning skills imperative[/FONT]
