DESKTOP PUBLISHING COORDINATOR

[FONT=&quot]This position reports to the Product Localisation Manager and the Marketing Localisation Manager in Amsterdam and Tirana. The Desktop Publishing Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the global LocalEyes DTP activity assigning projects and developing processes. The DTP Coordinator will be in charge of supervising the QA team providing support, advice, mentoring and process development. The DTP Coordinator liaises with the DTP Artists, QA Specialists, Project Management and Production Centres. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Specific Responsibilities include:[/FONT]

• [FONT=&quot]Manage the DTP team's overall availability [/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Improving consistency across our DTP deliverables in close coordination with the Quality Assessment teams. [/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Design operational plan for default division of languages and tasks.[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Assessing overall DTP workload and manage division of projects between internal and external resources.[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Overview the DTP availability and planning in mid-term period [/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Assign production tasks to the QA Specialists and check their final work to make sure all is according to company’s standards[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Pull out statistics and reports for daily production and mid-term planning[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Assessing automation of steps, use of checklists, scripts etc to improve quality of deliverables.[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Introduce metrics to measure productivity [/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Point of contact and responsible for project specific queries on DTP management from LocalEyes Cork with a guaranteed turnaround time.[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Communicate to the DTP Lead where additional hiring is needed for the DTP team [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Requirements[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Bachelor Degree in Economics, Management, or similar[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Knowledge of DTP localisation processes and standards used in the industry[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Knowledge of basic functional aspects of Win and Mac based platforms.[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Knowledge and experience of Project Management[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Basic knowledge of the following applications - SDL Trados, FileMaker, BBEdit, XCode, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook or Mail, iWork, InDesign, Photoshop[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Ability to assimilate, hold and interpret a wide variety of information[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Excellent verbal, written communication skills in English[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Organisational and planning skills imperative[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Ability to promptly troubleshoot problems and deliver solutions[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Able to work in a fast paced, demanding creative and production environment with a multiple 
changes in project priorities and tight deadlines. Holistic and flexible project and time management[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Will be considered as a plus:[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Knowledge of DTP programmes for both Mac and PC[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Knowledge of translation and review lifecycle[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Knowledge of linguistic quality tracking and improvement processes and metrics[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Knowledge of mainstream localisation tools used in the industry[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Ability to manage and organise a large volume of emails[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Demonstrable experience liaising with other production offices and vendors[/FONT]
n [FONT=&quot]Ability to communicate in foreign languages[/FONT]
