JOB TASK
POSITION: CAPTAIN WAITER
DEPARTMENT: FOOD & BEVERAGE
REPORTING TO: HEAD WAITER AND / OR DINING HALL MANAGER
DESCRIPTION: To ensure good welcoming and service to our guest.
The captain waiter role is very essential in the restaurant due to his direct contact with clients and his job includes the following:
Service station set up.
Table and chairs arrangements.
Make sure the area which he / she is responsible clean and neat.
Attend daily meeting with head waiter to have updates about the menu and any special requirements.
Full knowledge about the menu
Welcome the clients at the table
Keep his / her appearance clean and maintain a high hygiene level.
The ability to give his / her waiter proper instructions during service.
Knows how to sell the menu and give recommendations
Take the order from the clients and enter it in POS system.
The ability to sell special and new dishes and give recommendations.
Serve the food and beverage
Make sure to get all positive and / or negative comments from the client before he / she leaves.
