The Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania (SHUKALB), which has been in existence since January 2000, is seeking to hire a full-time person to fill the position of Manager of Member Services. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of SHUKALB.

The responsibilities of the Manager of Member Services include the following:

  • Develop and implement programs to increase the number of paid members in all categories of membership to include water utilities, public sector and institutional officials, individuals, and private sector businesses.
  • Maintain all membership records.
  • Develop an electronic platform for communication among members.
  • Establish data bases to support knowledge exchange among members.
  • Respond to member requests for information and resources maintained by SHUKALB for the benefit of the members.
  • Develop and maintain an on-going public relations program on behalf of SHUKALB.
  • Maintain a data base of all SHUKALB contacts such that the data can be sorted and grouped to support all communications needs of SHUKALB.
  • Transition SHUKALB's quarterly newsletter BURIMI, to a monthly E-newsletter.
  • Support the development and publication of the planned SHUKALB Technical Journal.
  • Organize the logistics, and record the minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors and Committees of SHUKALB.
  • Organize the logistics of the Annual Conference and Exhibition, as well as other Specialty Conferences of SHUKALB.
  • Organize the logistics for Study Tours/ Visitations of SHUKALB staff or organized groups of members both within and outside Albania.
  • Maintain and administer SHUKALB's Internet Website.
  • Monitor the changes in legislation relative to the water sector, and document the new legislation/regulation to be provided to the membership base.
  • Support the Executive Director on administrative matters of SHUKALB.
  • Maintain all the legal documents and records of SHUKALB.
This position will work in cooperation with the current Manager of Training and Development.

Candidates for this position should have the following minimum qualifications and experience:
A university degree in business administration or journalism.
Minimum of six years of responsible, professional experience in related activities.
Native Albanian speaker with ability to communicate (oral and written) in English.
