Aleat Sh.p.k., is an Albanian Joint Venture company of Morpho (previously Sagem Sécurité) and the Albanian - American Enterprise Fund (AAEF).
For our organization we are looking for a:
SUMMARY
The selected candidate is responsible for developing and supporting Web-based Java applications, Web services and Web interfaces.
The work environment is dynamic and challenging. The right candidate must be a team player who has the ability to work on multiple projects and can organize and prioritize their work to achieve desired results in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review and understand business requirements working with cross- functional teams.
2. Develop and enhance product offerings in accordance with design and consistent with business objectives.
3. Ensure that development tasks are completed within timeline provided and that issues are fully tested with minimal defects.
4. Under guidance of technical lead, ensure that solutions being developed are effective and take into consideration performance implications for a production environment.
5. Conduct code and design reviews for development initiatives they are working on.
6. Provide detailed estimates for development efforts as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Java software development experience using object oriented methodology
2. Working knowledge of JavaScript, XML etc
3. Expertise in developing Web based applications using Java and JS
4. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or other relational databases experience
5. Must be team-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skill
6. Demonstrated ability to solve moderate to complex application problems independently
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
8. Bachelors/Masters degree (preferably Computer Science or Information Systems) or software development/programming certifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
1. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, AJAX, XML
2. Previous development experience with EJB 2.0, Web Service, JSE1.5, JMS, JSP, JDBC, Apache Ant, Spring, Struts 2 and Tiles
3. Assembly, deployment, troubleshooting, and monitoring experience of J2EE applications on one of the major J2EE application servers (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere)
4. Experience performance tuning a production application through code and database improvements
5. Understanding of software development life cycle
6. Familiarity with one of the major J2EE IDE tools
7. Experience developing Business Objects / jasper or Crystal Reports
8. Microsoft Development Experience (VB, ASP, .NET, C#) a plus
