The British Council is recruiting a full-time Business Development Manager to help expand the British Council’s examination services business in Albania. The primary focus of the role will be to gain recognition for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in the higher education sector across Albania and increasing awareness of IELTS among potential takers across the country.
The duration of the contract is initially for two years. The post is available immediately, with a probationary period of three months.
The Successful Candidate will be a self starter, able to identify and develop strategic partnerships and employ the necessary marketing insights and tools to ensure that learners of English in Albania can benefit from the appropriate British Council products and services. He or she will have responsibility for:
Marketing and brand recognition – ensuring IELTS recognition and candidature increases in line with the agreed targets;
Business development and planning – monitoring candidate numbers and identifying trends; managing the marketing and communication budget; analysing market opportunities and identifying new markets, new products and new delivery methods;
Managing key strategic relationships – especially with higher education partners and other key stakeholders;
Ensuring successful IELTS delivery at designated universities through the provision of support for both teachers and candidates.
The Successful Candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
· A university degree, or relevant postgraduate diploma, in one of the following disciplines Business Management / Sales Management / Marketing;
· Experience of working in sales management;
· Knowledge of Marketing and Customer Services;
· Knowledge of the Albanian higher education system;
· Familiarity with digital and social media;
· Financial planning and management;
· Fluent written and spoken English and Albanian;
· Good project management skills.
