POSITION SUMMARY:
The Visual Merchandiser works closely with store teams to drive consistency and high standards in visual merchandising. This includes supporting the markets store openings, rollout of store macro plans, seasonal campaigns, core assortments, and launches through clear visual guidelines, market-adapted planograms, and market specific targeted training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure adherence to Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s global VM directions and guidelines, while identifying and applying relevant market-specific adaptations to improve execution and enhance local relevance without compromising brand consistency.
Effectively educate, train, and support store managers and store teams on Visual Merchandising (VM) principles, execution standards, and routines to ensure excellence in implementation and follow-up.
Lead and support new store openings, ensuring VM standards are in place from pre-opening through launch.
Develop and implement macro plans for both new store openings and existing stores, optimizing store layout, and merchandise flow to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency and maximum sales.
Collaborate with the Head Office and work cross-functionally within the local market, particularly within Commercial, Store Operations, Marketing team and Local expansion team and other key departments—to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategies and initiatives.
Participate in regular meetings with the Head Office to align strategic direction, share market insights, and ensure consistent execution of Visual Merchandising and commercial strategies across all stores.
Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work hands-on in stores during new openings and regular operations, while also be able to be providing training and support to store teams offering guidance, feedback, and solutions to ensure continuous improvement in Visual Merchandising execution across all locations.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proven experience in visual merchandising, preferably within a retail space planning or commercial environment.
People management experience with a focus on collaboration and cross-functional alignment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Detail-oriented, structured and organized, and capable of managing both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and proactive in driving VM initiatives within the market.
The role includes occasional travel within the market to support store openings, visits, implementation checks, and team training when needed.
