We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build, maintain, troubleshoot our systems and infrastructure (local and cloud-based) as well as perform tasks to ensure the undisruptive operation of existing and new SaaS projects.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Work proactively to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Write and maintain custom Linux scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time
- Maintain backup and redundancy strategies
- Install, patch, configure, test and maintain operating systems, system management tools and application software (in-house developed, 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] party developed)
- Monitor and test application performance for potential system related issues, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Perform tasks to ensure the undisruptive operation of existing and new SaaS projects Provide 1st and 2nd level support internally and to our customers
- Troubleshoot, follow up, resolve and provide root cause analysis for technical incidents
- Liaise with vendors for technical matters
- Liaise with customers for technical and business matters
Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related subject
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments (standalone or redundant).
- Working Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
- Working Experience with cloud-based services (e.g Azure, AWS)
- Working Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
- Experience with monitoring systems
- Working Experience with database installation, tuning, maintenance (e.g MySQL, Mongo)
- Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts)
- Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
