Procurement Specialist

Purpose of the position: Process and follow up equipment, goods & services orders, reassuring company's qualitative and quantitative interests, in terms of the correct and on-time receiving of materials, services, and projects.

Main Tasks:
  • Prepare and follow-up purchase orders based on the request of other departments.
  • Negotiates the purchase of materials and equipment required by the company, ensuring that these meet specifications and can be delivered at the correct time and at favorable prices.
  • Create/issue formal RF(x) bids by reviewing specifications, scheduling opening dates, arranging to advertise, and maintaining files.
  • Identifies potential suppliers, investigates their reliability, and issues request for quotations
  • Report any significant supply problems to ensure that departments and functions are kept aware of any potential difficulties.
  • Analyses, evaluates, and negotiates supplier’s bids to determine optimum value as regards price, quality, and delivery time of the material.
  • Develops specifications and/or collaborates with internal requestor regarding goods and services purchased
  • Implements and comply with all One Albania policies and procedures to ensure the effective operation of the department.
  • Maintains the highest ethical standards in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Other duties as per job responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement operations.

Skills:
  • Excellent and proven negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Very good planning and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Good reporting abilities.
  • Very good command of English language and Microsoft Office package.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
