Description
GISDEV is looking for a motivated and curious AI Developer Intern with solid programming skills in Python or Java to join our team in the development of a new system that integrates Large Language Models (LLMs). This is a hands-on internship that offers exposure to cutting-edge AI applications and real-world software development practices in a collaborative environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in integrating LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Claude) into our system.
- Design and implement APIs or components that interact with AI models.
- Support the development and testing of AI-driven features, such as natural language interfaces, summarization, or decision support tools.
- Collaborate with software engineers to translate requirements into functional solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI and LLM technology.
Technical Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Python or Java.
- Basic understanding of machine learning or natural language processing concepts.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Comfortable with reading technical documentation and integrating third-party libraries or APIs.
Desirable
- Previous project experience with LLMs or other AI/ML models (university, open source, or personal projects).
- Exposure to libraries such as OpenAI API, or LangChain and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques.
- Experience with Java in backend or AI-related contexts.
- Understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) or deployment environments.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
