Candidates must be in Malta or can relocate easily.
One of the leading fast food restaurants across the Maltese Islands, is seeking to recruit an experienced Handyman.[/FONT]
Role Objective
The Handyman will be responsible for the decoration, tiling and upkeep of the restaurants and all repairs and services in front and back of house, including inspection, servicing and repairs of pipework according to a preventive maintenance schedule as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
· Responsible for the painting, tiling, stone- work and upkeep of the restaurant grounds.
· Replace broken tiles in all areas as required.
· Maintains sewage related equipment clean and in good working order
· Ensures that the walls, roofs and terraces are sealed and that no water seeps through.
· Inspect shafts, and repairs any damage pipe work.
· Advise the store manager on replacement parts which need to be ordered.
· Repairs damaged gypsum false ceilings within the restaurant.
· Gives a handover to the store manager once the shift is over.
· Works in a safe manner and maintains cleanliness.
· Replaces or repairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing as required.
· Maintaining proper paperwork standards and inventory.
· To plan and work according to the Restaurant planned maintenance calendar.
· Following proper HACCP guidelines, and employee and customer safety policies.
· Any other duties that may arise from time to time.
Skills and Abilities
· Actively seeks opportunities to develop and learn from experience.
· Communicates openly and clearly both verbally and in writing.
· Prioritize actions and manages tasks through to completion.
· Self motivated, responsible and driven to achieve goals.
· Ability to follow all safety procedures and respond properly to any restaurant emergencies.

· Proficient in basic computer skills.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends.
· Must be able to speak and write in English.
