EPPC Albania, on behalf of its client operating in the import, sales, and distribution of food and beverage products in Albania and across the Western Balkans, is seeking an Audit & Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal audits of the business departments/markets to verify compliance with established standards and regulations;
  • Identify potential compliance risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the organization is aware of and prepared for potential issues;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Provide training to employees on compliance-related matters, promoting a culture of compliance within the organization;
  • Assist in developing the annual audit plan as per company policies and procedures (ISO), working closely with the Head of Department and Legal Department;
  • Ensure effective monitoring and reporting of accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts, support collection processes, and mitigate potential credit risks;
  • Prepare and presenting audit reports to management, outlining findings, recommendations, and progress on compliance initiatives. Develop key KPIs and reports including Audit reports/recommendations & Risk assessment;
  • Collaborate with relevant departments: Commercial, Legal, HR, Supply Chain Operations, Finance, IT and Export Markets to ensure compliance with local legislation and internal procedures;
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential data and information and formulating them into reports and presentations.

Requirements for this position are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance;
  • Previous work experience in same or similar roles, with proven expertise in audit methodology, risk management tools, and knowledge or experience in import, sales, and distribution;
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement corrective actions;
  • Verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards;
  • High integrity, ethical standards, and ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office;
  • Availability to travel across the region for business purposes as required.
