You love numbers and you care about getting them right. At DNB Strategies you won't just enter transactions, you'll own the books for an international trading firm and lead a small finance team in our new Tirana hub.
THIS IS US
DNB Strategies is a Zurich-based financial services firm. We are opening our first back-office hub in Tirana and this is the most important hire we make.
WHAT YOU DO WITH US
· Book all daily transactions into SoftLedger every morning, accurate, on time
· Manage AP/AR: invoices, payment runs, bank transfers
· Daily bank reconciliation, accounts must balance before end of day
· Prepare monthly management reports and closing entries for Zurich finance leadership
· Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
· Support external audit preparation and provide documentation as required
· Track and report on cost centre expenses by department
· Monitor cash positions and flag any discrepancies to senior management
· Process employee expense claims and ensure correct accounting treatment
· Maintain and update the fixed asset register
· Contribute to improving and documenting internal finance processes and controls
· Liaise with the local Albanian accountant for tax filings, payroll and compliance
WHAT YOU BRING
· 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
· Fluent English, you communicate daily with Zurich in writing and on calls
· Experience with cloud accounting software (SoftLedger, Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
· Strong Excel and sharp attention to detail
· Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
WHAT WE OFFER
