The Payroll Specialist will ensure the accurate and timely execution of employee compensation, benefits, and tax filings. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of payroll compliance and labor laws, and the ability to securely handle confidential employee data. The ideal candidate is analytical, structured, and committed to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities​

  • Payroll Processing: Oversee and execute the complete payroll cycle, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions, and withholdings.
  • Compliance & Tax Management: Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal labor laws, payroll regulations, and tax filing requirements. Keep abreast of changes in legislation affecting payroll.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, benefit changes, and direct deposit setups within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding discrepancies in pay, tax deductions, and benefits, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Reporting & Auditing: Prepare comprehensive weekly, monthly, and annual payroll reports for management and accounting. Lead routine internal audits to verify payroll accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements​

  • Fluent English.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a closely related field. Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional – CPP) are a strong plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of dedicated payroll processing experience, ideally managing complex payrolls across multiple regions or jurisdictions.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in HRIS and automated payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or Gusto) and expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Competencies: Exceptionally high attention to detail, strict adherence to confidentiality protocols, and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
