We are seeking to welcome a qualified Payment Officer (Band 3T) on (Temporary Contract for Maternity Leave Coverage), to join our Back Office Area reporting directly to the Head of Unit.
Overall Job Definition
The Payments Officer will be responsible for processing the incoming and outgoing inter-bank transfers. In this role, the Payments Specialist will need to be increasingly involved in Payments Operations activities as well as to balance multiple tasks in order to meet tight deadlines/cut-off times.

Main Responsibilities:
- Accept and process transfer requests from the branches network & TiBank;
- Process outgoing transfers in the respective system (Domestic and International Foreign Currency, etc.)
- Resolve problems through inner and outer department communication as and when required;
- Process all incoming transfers according to applicable policies and procedures;
- Operate multiple servicing systems for research and processing of transactions, including payments and compliance systems;
- Monitor the status of transfers throughout the business day to ensure cut-off times are met;
- Assist in resolving any wire transfer system issues;
- Perform end-of-day reconciliations;
- Perform all related duties for special projects as assigned by supervisors;
Requirements
Competencies / Skills:- Bachelor in Economy/Financials or other related field;
- Previous experience in banking system as Teller or Customer Service will be considered an advantage;
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues;
- Ability to complete daily work/tasks in a timely and efficient manner;
- Ability to quickly master business systems;
- Has an attention to detail and is very accurate;
- Very good verbal/written communications skills;
- Good knowledge and use of the English language (verbal and written);
- Computer literacy with a focus on Excel;
