The job holder is accountable for fulfilling the roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic Relief values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of colleagues and staff.
This position holds the responsibility to support the Albania field office with a range of financial and administrative functions. This will involve supporting an active field office delivering emergency response and recovery projects by ensuring the appropriate level of documentation, monitoring, reporting and compliance with donors and Islamic Relief financial guidelines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Responsibility:
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions thereby contributing to the provision of financial information to stakeholders.
- To process all forms of payments and receipts, ensuring all transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals.
- To pay supplier invoices and staff expenses by bank or cash.
- To review the monthly payroll and to ensure the timely payment of payroll taxes, contributions and salaries.
- To perform a monthly bank reconciliation
- To maintain the fixed assets, register and perform a quarterly stock count
- To liaise with and respond to audit queries from the external/internal auditors and to provide requested documents.
- Maintain debtors and creditors control accounts and perform a monthly reconciliation
- To undertake any other reasonable duties that are consistent with the job and its level of responsibility as and when required by the Line Manager and the Head of Finance.
Education: Required bachelor’s in finance, business or related field, master’s degree will be an advantage.
Experience: 1-year experience in the field of finance, advantage working with INGOs/NGOs
Professional Qualifications:
- Very Good knowledge on Albanian and English language.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power point)
- AX Dynamics experience would be an advantage for this position or any other financial system.
