JOB SUMMARY: Technicians in working with medical gases ( 5 Positions Opened )
Technical worker, Monitoring and maintaining Medical Gas Supplies to the required standard to ensure life support of patient services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1 Carries out operation and maintenance of all Medical Air and Medical Vacuum Compressors, standby Manifolds, Liquid Storage Vessels and Piped Medical Gas Lines.
1.2 Ensures that all controls and alarms are fully functional, correctly set and that these settings are recorded.
1.3 Carries out checks and planned maintenance to ensure that plant continues to run in optimum condition.
1.4 Carries out all necessary minor upgrades and new works to the Medical Gas System as required by the Director of Operations & Maintenance.
1.5 Ensures that there is an adequate supply of Medical Gases available to meet the demands of the hospital.
1.6 Carryout the filing of Medical Oxygen Cylinders as required and ensuring stocks are maintained on wards and clinics.
Repairing, testing and calibration of Flow Meters and Suction units, welding cooper pipes for Medical Gas system and other technical labor.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.1 Qualifications or Relevant Experience:
1.1.1 Relevant apprenticeship in a Mechanical Field with a technical college Certificate related subject.
1.1.2 If Experience of Piped Medical Gas System will be an asset.
1.1.3 Willing to have training in Medical Gas System.
1.2 Personal Qualities:
1.2.1 A good working knowledge of the English or Italian language mostly spoken.
1.3 Experience:
1.3.1 Some years post qualification experience 3 years of which must have been in a technical field, HVAC Air Conditioner or mechanical field, or which must have been in a hospital environment .
Working Place: The work is based in MALTA with long term contract where is included accommodation and other expenses. Age limit is between 23 to 45 years old.
