Job position:Commercial Manager

The Commercial Department Manager in the home appliances and electronics sector, both retail and wholesale, is responsible for planning and overseeing all commercial activities related to the product range. This role includes strategic planning, supporting sales management, managing supplier relationships, understanding the market, controlling inventory, and driving revenue growth, while simultaneously ensuring that customer demands are met.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements the Company’s Vision and Mission in the Commercial direction, ensuring alignment with the corporate framework and goals.
  • Is an integral part of the company’s strategy and budget development.
  • Leads and supervises the daily commercial activities of the department with the objective of maximizing profit and growth.
  • The position is also responsible for setting the company’s pricing strategy based on local market developments and the positioning of the product brands included in the category portfolio.
  • Creates the appropriate structure to meet the requirements and needs of the Department.
  • Develops and proposes criteria to measure short-term and long-term performance and overall growth, regularly evaluating results against these performance standards.
  • Organizes quarterly or annual meetings with partners (brand suppliers and marketing agencies) to agree on partnership terms and conditions and ensure the best conditions for the benefit of the company.
  • Responsible for merchandising in both physical and online stores. Ensures product display in stores, automatic assortment, and the design of new planograms during store expansions/renovations.
  • Reviews and leads the development of new market opportunities in terms of products and marketing.
  • Actively interacts with the Marketing department to achieve communication and visibility of the tradable products, and with sales units (retail and wholesale) to ensure optimal performance regarding sales, profit, margins, and inventory according to the relevant budget.
  • Manages the department to ensure it has qualified and prepared personnel to achieve results. Actively participates in proposing/designing the digitalization of processes to facilitate and accelerate BAU (Business As Usual).
  • Ensures that subordinate staff participate in necessary technical and qualitative training aimed at improving their performance and business effectiveness.
  • Analyzes market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities, maintain market share, and accordingly adapt the strategic plan.
  • Ensures that the management and operational methods of the Commercial Department comply with the Company/Group standards, the legal framework, and the applicable Industry Standards.

Qualifications:
  • Education: University Degree, preferably in Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a company as a Commercial Manager/Purchasing/Sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Fluent in English.
  • High computer literacy skills.
