Lagardère Travel Retail Albania, one of the leading global operators in travel retail, in collaboration with Relay Albania, is expanding its operations at Tirana International Airport. As part of the development of the Food & Beverage offering in the airport’s dynamic environment, we are looking for an energetic and hands-on profile for the position of:
Food Category Manager - Food Safety Officer
Travel Retail Environment
Job Summary:
- Responsible for developing and managing the Food & Beverage range of products with special focus on packed fresh food (sandwiches, salads, pastry).
- Responsible for sourcing of raw material and finished products and for simply take away food production in store kitchen.
- Responsible for food safety, quality, and operational performance in line with Lagardère Travel Retail standards and all local food safety regulations. For all food and beverage products sold within the stores operated by the company.

• F&B sales
• food costs / %Gross margin achieved
• Waste & shrinkage levels
• Audit/compliance scores
• Food waste reduction
• Staff training completion
Requirements
• Degree in Hospitality, Food Science, Business, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in F&B or retail operations.
• Grab & go / travel retail experience is an advantage.
• HACCP Certification required.

• Strong coordination and communication skills

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities
Food Category manager
- Manage the food-to-go and beverage offer.
- Implement production of fresh food (manage the staff responsible for production)
- Optimize sales, of fresh food, promotions, product placement, and stock/waste control.
- Ensure implementation of HACCP and compliance with local regulations and company standards including but not limited to:
- Set the procedures and guidelines for food safety for all food products
- Monitor temperatures, expiry dates, hygiene, allergens, and audits.
- Manage food waste, traceability, recalls, and operational risks.
