Database Applications Developer
Scope of Work: To create, develop and improve database instances, design and run several queries and generate reports based on client requests. To ensure the correct functionality of database and reporting processes according to the procedures and policies of Vodafone Albania.
Main Job Accountabilities
§ Design, develop and implement databases on different platforms (Oracle, SQL Server etc)
§ Structure data based on Vodafone Operational systems data.
§ Create means of automating data loading and preprocessing
§ Create means of automating data manipulation like stored procedures and triggers
§ Create simple or complex summary requests (reports) from databases and represent those summaries to users in a understandable way.
§ Possibly to automate the summaries processing
§ To monitor all database processes and data integrity in those processes
§ To create fail-safe and rollback means to preserve data.
§ Use metadata for further design, or documentation.
Profile Requirements
§ Good knowledge of the Oracle architecture preferred VERSION 9I or higher, PL/SQL.
§ Good knowledge of the MS SQL Server architecture, version 2000, TSQL, VBSCRIPT, DTS Sql Server.
§ Good Knowledge of highly complex databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server.
§ Availability to work during nights and weekends
§ Very good command of written and spoken English is essential.
