· Very Good knowledge of English (both written and spoken)

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
HOUSE MAIDS: 1. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met. 2. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers. 3. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. 4. Care for children and/or elderly persons by overseeing their activities, providing companionship, and assisting them with dressing, bathing, eating, and other needs. 5. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. 6. Purchase or order groceries and household supplies to keep kitchens stocked, and record expenditures. 7. Run errands such as taking laundry to the cleaners and buying groceries. 8. Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
CLEANER: 1. Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points. 2. Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops. 3. Mopping floors with wet or damp mops. 4. Suction cleaning carpeted areas and “spot” cleaning carpets. 5. Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training). 6. Using electrically powered pick up machines. 7. To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments. 8. To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required within the contract. 9. To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers and drinking fountains. 10. The use of chemical agents as directed by the Supervising Officer in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, after receiving proper instructions and training. 11. To undertake wall washing or inside window pane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus an arm’s extension from floor level, during periodic cleaning maintenance programmers. 12. Cleaners employed in domestic science areas are required to clean cookers and work surface areas.
BABY SITTER: 1. Keep the play area safe and free from hazards while monitoring children consistently throughout the day. 2. Sanitize play equipment, games and toys on a regular basis to keep them safe and attractive while minimizing the spread of germs. 3. Change diapers, dress children and assist them with their snacks, drinks and meals as needed. 4. Teach children the importance of good personal hygiene and health habits, including the importance of brushing teeth, eating healthy food, using the toilet and getting adequate rest. 5. Engage in educational activities with the children, including reading, crafts, drawing, coloring and singing. 6. Keep an individual record for each child that includes information about his or her behaviors, daily activities, meals eaten, medications received and other important and mundane details. Discuss this information with each child’s parents on a daily or weekly basis. 7. Discipline unruly children as needed, focusing on using creative ways to encourage good behavior such as picking up after themselves, participating in the lesson plans and treating each other kindly. 8. Create daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate, fun and interesting. Lesson plans should always encourage full participation from each child.
