Tasks
- To monitor, investigate, and respond appropriately to alarm signals including life safety, intrusion, fire, water and asset protection, and provide direction as necessary for BKT.
- To coordinate response with relevant internal or external Security staff/companies to provide ongoing protection of BKT customers, personnel and assets.
- To process multi - directional communications from BKT personnel, SHPSF and police departments.
- To provide assistance with and documentation of all branches alarm system testing.
- To interact closely with all departments / branches within the Bank, i.e: Audit Department, Investigations, PFSC (SHPSF) Services, IT Infrastructure etc.
- To serve as intermediary to channel communications between bank units and serve as a primary disaster communications hub for bank and related entities.
- To assume responsibility and take necessary actions for problems resolution.
- To adapt to changes or problems that may be encountered while performing routine daily activities.
- To monitor various systems including CCTV systems for both local and remote properties, a variety of access systems, to include badge, perimeter, and internal secured areas.
- To operate a variety of computer systems such as Windows Operating System and other proprietary software packages.
- To perform system data updates as required to include input, processing and storage of critical data.
- To be aware of the fact that significant impact on the safety, security and protection of Bank personnel, customers and assets may result based on actions taken and decisions made while carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position. Position will deal with life-safety and other emergency issues using proper judgment.
- To review and disseminate video images using Digital Video Recordings when directed to provide current time data for communicating incident information as required. This may require viewing criminal activity that is in the act or has been committed.
- To work with outside repair technicians, guards, etc. to ensure that signals are received properly and that circuits and signaling devices are restored to normal operation.
- To be responsible of center monitoring staff (operators) and take care that they perform their duties / responsibilities according to the standard procedures.
Requirements
Basic requirements:
- Electronic Engineer or Information Technology University Diploma
- Previous Experience on electronic security systems (Preferably alarm or video surveillance systems experience in banking sector or State Police)
Skills / Knowledge:
- Professional and articulate verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Proficient and accurate computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific procedures and instructions
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Organizational skills
- To have good command of English language (Turkish will be an asset)
- Posing a driving license
Other Requirements:
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
- Shift work (24/7 environment) includes after hours, weekends, and holidays
- Overtime may be required
- Due to the security nature of the position, offers of employment are contingent upon passing a personality security check.
