We are looking for a Corporate Fundraiser!

Mission of the position:
  • Pursue opportunities to fund (the agreed part of) the programme costs of the organization from corporate sector donations in order to increase the financial self-sufficiency and to define, implement and fulfil the middle-term Corporate Fundraising Strategy reflected in the business plans by monitoring, evaluating and analysing the actual results (vs. the targets) and the competitor activities.
  • Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with corporate donors; act as role model in partnership negotiations; manage and upgrade the accounts, network and position the SOS Children’s Villages in Albania brand according to the brand vision, mission and values.

SOS Children’s Villages in Albania is a nongovernmental and nonpolitical organization, which provides family-like care since 1995.
We work to prevent family breakdown and care for children who have lost parental care, or who risk losing it. Our vision is a world where every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security. We work with communities, partners and states to ensure that the rights of all children are respected and fulfilled.
About you:
Must criteria for the position! Competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities
  • University degree in the field of International Business Development / Marketing / Sales / Business Administration / Business Management / Public Relations / Communications/ Social Sciences. Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be considered as asset;
  • At least 3 years of proven experience and results in the field of fundraising, marketing or sales at international NGOs or at multinational companies;
  • Advanced level of negotiation skills, proven experience in negotiations and key account management;
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English;
  • Strong motivation to identify with the vision, mission and values of SOS Children’s Villages in Albania.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Successful relationship- and network building skills with different types of stakeholders at different levels of various organisations, companies, business partners;
  • Highly organised, result-oriented, proactive and reliable personality;
  • Innovative and creative, claiming and demonstrating high professional standards;
  • Engaged, determined, persistent, “can do” and solution-oriented mentality and positive working attitude
  • Good team player;
  • Has strategic and analytical thinking abilities.
Main tasks and responsibilities
  • The Corporate Fundraiser is innovative and creative in raising funds according to the relevant parts of the business plan and targets based on research, tests and continuous evaluations of fundraising opportunities, methods and results.
  • She is responsible for fulfilling the relevant part of the business plan and for reaching the set and agreed targets.
  • She supports and coordinates the facilities in their local Fundraising activities, such as in raising donations in kind.
  • She monitors competitors in terms of Corporate Fundraising, the development of the market, as well as fundraising-related legal regulations (e.g. tax exemptions, data protection) and the economic development (e.g. increase of costs, economical growth) in the country
  • She plans, monitors and evaluates the FR activities according to the planning and reporting procedure issued by the Fund Development & Communication Department CEE/CIS/Baltics.
In the framework of child protection policy:
  • Has the responsibility to protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, manipulation, violence and discrimination;
  • Has the responsibility to act without delay and report any suspicions, concerns, allegations or incidents regarding the safety of children immediately;
  • Ensures confidentiality and sharing of information as needed;
  • Has the responsibility to respect the Regulation on “Prevention and Protection against Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse” as well as Code of Conduct.
  • He / she is expected to promote and support a culture of respect, dignity, trust and accountability that deters violations.
Terms:
  • Full-time (40 hrs), 5 days a week: Mon-Fri;
  • Workplace in a centrally located office in Tirana;
  • Employment contract in accordance with the Labour Legislation of the Republic of Albania;
  • Training both at the beginning and in the process of work;
  • A team of friendly professionals ready to help.
