Job Position: MONITORING & EVALUTION OFFICER

Main duties and responsibilities:

• The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of all projects implemented by the Organisation.
• He/she will develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the Organisation.
• He/she will also provide technical assistance to the implementing agencies, particularly in relation to monitoring, reporting and governance issues.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• The officer should be able to support in monitoring and reporting of project results;
  
• To keep track and report on program progress and provide mentorship/technical support to partners in the project activities.
  
• Ability to Manage data collection and ensure data quality standards are applied and procedures are followed.
• Lead the quality assurance of the M&E system.
• Strong collaborator- ability to work with every department to streamline M&E focus, needs and effectiveness.
• Support the project’s internal and external strategic reviews and reporting, with data collection and the analysis of measured results.
• Strong communication skills, statistical skills, ability to work with a team are key to the role for this person.
• Advanced skills in use of computer for PowerPoint presentations, excel, Ms word, Presentation /facilitation skills: Ability to train & facilitate meetings at national and community level.
• Strong capacity and self-drive: Self-starter and self-leadership are key strength required for the role.
• Manage the preparation and monitoring of surveys or studies for results measurement purposes as well as the efficient and quality delivery of the services required.

Skills required

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences, economics, business administration, or other relevant discipline.
• Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation of the projects, at least 4 years.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
• Experience in planning and managing activities like trainings, meetings and community dialogues for target project beneficiaries. Experience in developing and refining data collection tools. Experience with data quality assessments and oversight; Strong analytical skills.
• Initiative, creativity, strategic and innovative thinking skills.
• Very good English speaking and writing skills.
• Very good communication and presentation skills. Able to communicate information clearly and concisely both internally and externally.
