Job Position: Junior Accounting Specialist

Purpose of the job position: Under the overall supervision of the Controlling Supervisor, the Junior Accounting Specialist is responsible for assisting in managing all accounting operations of the company. The Junior Accounting Specialist should be committed to providing efficient, reliable support to accounting department members, other departments, and external parties.
The Accounting Specialist should be trustworthy, thorough, and courteous with excellent time management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accounts by recording, identifying and verifying financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
• Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments to the organization.
• Follow internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained.
• Handle the process for planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
• Maintain Cost Accounting System, conduct physical inventories and reconcile finished goods inventories.
• Collaborate with others in the accounting department to ensure all financial actions are accurate.
• Look for and provide solutions for accounting irregularities
• Assist the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level managers.
• Participate in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments, current financial legislation, and company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competences – knowledge and skills
Educational background
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional Experience: Minimum 1 year of accounting experience. Must have a good understanding of local and international accounting and reporting standards. Sound experience in production business sector; Strong technical skills in accounting; Strong analytical skills, stress resistant; Self motivator, capable of working with minimum supervision; Good communicator, both oral and written;
Particular skills required for the position:

• Availability, ability to work in a team.
• Ability to organize work, interpersonal skills and to work under pressure and in a diverse and challenging environment.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of bookkeeping software.
• Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data.
