Job Position: Import and Export Accountant
Purpose of the job position: Under the overall supervision of the Head of the Finance Department, the IE Accountant is responsible for assisting in managing all accounting operations of the company. The incumbent should be committed to providing efficient, reliable support to accounting department members, other departments, and external parties.

Job Position: Import and Export Accountant
Purpose of the job position: Under the overall supervision of the Head of the Finance Department, the IE Accountant is responsible for assisting in managing all accounting operations of the company. The incumbent should be committed to providing efficient, reliable support to accounting department members, other departments, and external parties.
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
- Maintaining costs of raw materials, semi-finished and finished good.
- Producing monthly management accounts including material costs/ Conducting analysis of all costs.
- Handle the process for planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
- Maintain Cost Accounting System, conduct physical inventories and reconcile finished goods inventories/ Suggest inventory adjustments for reconciliations.
- Collaborate with others in the accounting department to ensure all financial actions are accurate.
- Educating the Operational and Production teams on the management of costs.
- Understand Operational and Production software to ensure that costs are recorded accurately.
- Monitor and report on sales performance analytics. Prepare sales tax returns. Issue and review invoices for correct sales data.
- Assist with sales tax audits. Comply with Internal controls and best practices. Respond to state and local notices, assessments, and inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level managers.
- Participate in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments, current financial legislation, and company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Educational background
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional Experience: - Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Must have a good understanding of local and international accounting and reporting standards. Sound experience in production business sector; Strong technical skills in accounting; Strong analytical skills, stress resistant; Self motivator, capable of working with minimum supervision; Good communicator, both oral and written;
