Description:
Insure legal support and legal opinion to the financial institution’s Management and Departments on daily basis

Mission:
Responsible for keeping company activities in compliance with new legislation; Compliance to internal rules &regulations and other applicable laws in force;

Outcomes:

• Provide and interpret legal information and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff;
• Advise on legal issues arising from dealings with customers complaints;
• Prepare and file suits against defaulting borrowers, follow up of court cases as well as recovery of classified/written off loans, documentations and physical verification;
• Prepare briefs, complaints, motions and other court documents;
• Represent the financial institution in court for different legal matters;
• Prepare and control criminal charges on identified fraud cases;
• Provide legal advice and support on general litigation issues arising from different legal proceedings against defaulting borrowers and third parties;
• Draft and vet suppliers agreements entered into by the financial institution with business partners and/or service providers;
• Advise the human resources department on employment law and labor and benefit issues;
• Prepare and file requests for executive titles from courts, withdraw of executive orders from courts;
• Prepare service agreement for executing orders from court by starting bailiffs proceedings;
• Conduct legal research on specific legal issues, update staff with local laws and regulations, and develop and provide appropriate training programs to enhance legal awareness;

Task:

To ensure compliance to the current legislation, solving legal matters regarding the activity of the financial institution according to the current legislation;
To provide legal advice and ensure that the financial institution’s legal interests are protected in the best possible manner;
To negotiate, prepare and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents;

Competencies:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in preferably have in-house experience in banks or other financial institutions;
• Very good knowledge of banking law, commercial law and other applicable laws in force;
• Very Good command of English language;
• Very Good command of Microsoft Package;
• Strong analytical, planning and project management skills;
• Ability to react on uninspected events;
• Have strong presentation and interpersonal skills;
• Very strong written and verbal skills both in English and Albanian;
• Have a good knowledge of best corporate governance practice;
