[FONT=&quot]Full Job Description[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]As a Help Desk within our IT department, you will be responsible for hardware and software support for our affiliates via a help desk number and our support portal. You are the first line of help when employees encounter problems or defects with products and programs. You will answer telephone inquiries, our support portal, respond to emails, and perform remote support sessions.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Responsibilities[/FONT]

  • Provide first level of customer support to both staff and external clients
  • Use active listening skills, probing and troubleshooting techniques to successfully resolve technical support issues over the phone and via web tools in a timely manner;
  • Diagnose computer hardware, network systems, and software issues accurately and quickly;
  • Handle printing queries, hardware questions, and report bugs users find in software programs;
  • Diagnose and resolve minor network issues like local area connection problem, network access, mails, internet, dial-ins, etc.;
  • Prioritize work orders/support portal according to severity;
  • Create a document for any issue and report events;
  • Accurately log work orders/support portal and resolutions into help desk software management system;
  • Identify issues requiring Tier 2 support and escalate when appropriate;
  • Provide appropriate follow-up, documentation (support portal) and response to client;
  • Provide orientation, guidance, assistance, and support to employee’s using PROLINK’s equipment, applications, and services;
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and work with the Manager to implement processes that enhance Help Desk operations;
  • Provide professional and courteous support to our employees, treating them as clients;
  • Complete and/or assist with other duties as assigned.

[FONT=&quot]To be seriously considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:[/FONT]

  • Education: Computer science, network systems, and computer engineering education is an asset.
  • Experience: Familiar with IT/Tech support; experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Office/Office 365; experience with Windows 11, Microsoft PowerShell and/or Exchange considered an asset.
  • Skills: Troubleshooting, basic networking, and mechanical attitude.
  • Attitude: A positive attitude with the flexibility to support the team with any ad-hoc needs. Independent, works well in a minimally supervised environment.
