Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Android applications for automotive systems, with a focus on reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Implement robust and scalable solutions using Kotlin programming language and MVVM architecture.
- Utilize asynchronous programming techniques, including ReactiveX and MockX, to handle concurrent and asynchronous tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and firmware engineers, to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and trends in the automotive industry, and evaluate their potential impact on our projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for automotive software development, including safety and security requirements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Android application development, with a focus on automotive systems.
- Expertise in Kotlin programming language and proficiency in Java.
- Strong understanding of MVVM architecture and experience building complex applications following MVVM principles.
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming paradigms such as ReactiveX and MockX.
- Familiarity with Android Automotive System architecture and components.
- Experience working with in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, telematics, or connected car technologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
