TETE Albania Tunnel & Mining is looking for a Laboratory Technician!
In our company, operating in Albania and involved in Copper and Zinc mining operations, we are in search of a Laboratory Technician to support our laboratory operations. The selected candidate will use their technical skills to conduct and assist in the analysis of laboratory data pertinent to our mining processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Fluent in both Albanian and English. Knowledge of Turkish at a B1 level is an advantage.
Proficiency in laboratory information management systems and MS Office tools.
Familiarity with the analysis of metals such as Copper, Zinc, Gold, and Silver.
Proven experience in laboratory management, preferably in the mining industry or related fields.
Willingness and ability to work in a shift pattern.
Experience with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) equipment is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various departments within the company.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Conducting initial inspections of samples arriving at the laboratory to ensure they meet established standards and guidelines.
Preparing samples for analysis in accordance with standard procedures and instructions.
Preparing the required chemicals and solutions according to standardized protocols.
Recording the results of chemical analyses and ensuring timely communication of these results to the relevant department.
Preparing and delivering reports on laboratory findings, contributing to informed decision-making in mining operations.
Collaborating with other departments to facilitate the implementation of occupational health and safety activities.
