Revenue Assurance Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Ensuring that processes and system results are complete and accurate. Identifying and preventing potential revenue leakages through monitoring of all systems involved such MSC, Rating, invoicing, and billing by investigating, analyzing and reconciling system outputs. Resolving issues by preventing leakage risks and make sure to be aligned with product & service as commercial agreement with the client.

Main Tasks:
  • Periodic controls for accuracy of all the revenue streams in telecommunication operators. Check the accuracy of billing invoices to identify possible errors and correct before invoices reach customers. Accuracy of tariffs and package assignment;
  • Periodic controls on the volume of traffic for all the subscribers registered into the network switches for the flow they perform until they reach the final destination: From Switching node, Mediation to Billing systems (post-paid & prepaid);
  • Monitor and check accuracy and completeness of Home/Roaming traffic generated by our customers and visitors in our network. Identification, follow up and correct of all issues identified;
  • Perform data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Business Objects, SQL and MS-Access. Understand and aggregate revenue assurance activities across the business and ensure they are working effectively;
  • Controls of databases flows, queries and reports utilizing network data, CDRs, billing and customer data to enhance and develop effectiveness of work though traffic trend monitoring;
  • To identify those areas where leakage might occur in the future and take action to modify existing or incorporate new controls that will prevent these leakages from happening;
  • Interact with a wide variety of other departments to identify and resolve revenue-impacting issues;
  • Prepare monthly reports for Revenue Assurance;
  • Other duties as per job responsibilities.
Education: At least 3+ years of working experience in related fields (telecoms).

Experience and Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in this field.

Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical skills and accuracy. English Language proficiency, in both spoken and written.
  • Proficient in PC skills and good knowledge in PC programming.
  • Good knowledge of the telecom industry.
  • Strong business awareness and investigative mind.
  • Self-initiative and able to work independently.
