Media Buying Specialist


Prepare and adjust the media planning based on ad campaigns’ needs, media/advertising opportunities and market developments, keep track on media reconciliations & financial media spend records, monitor advertising campaigns.

Main Tasks:
  • Understand the media environment and analyzing the target audiences’ profiles, purchasing and media habits with regards to consumer behaviour, circulation and audience trends.
  • Consider appropriate timings of media activities, based upon usage patterns and seasonal factors.
  • Present media proposals, including timings and cost breakdowns.
  • Prepare and adjust media plans/schedules, buy the advertising time/spaces in television, radio, online, outdoor and print.
  • Keep media plans reconciliations with media vendors and financial tracking of media spend records.
  • Monitor ad campaigns and report on the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Maintain contacts with media sales companies/vendors, ensuring statistics, media info on advertising possibilities.
Education: University degree in Business Management/Marketing/Advertising, Communication Media studies and Journalism, Business Law, Statistics/Informatics Economy.

Experience and Qualifications:

Communicative, collaborative, ability to work in a team. 2+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, media promotions, public relations.

Skills:
  • Familiarity with media planning and marketing research.
  • The ability to work with IT resources such as databases and spreadsheets, for the collection and management of information.
  • Good grasp of literacy, for writing reports and presentations.
  • The capacity to work effectively under pressure.
