EPPC Albania on behalf of its client, a poultry company which operates in Albania, is currently recruiting a Head of Finance.

The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial information. The role requires a detail-oriented and strategic individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a leader capable of managing a team and providing financial insight to support the company's strategic decisions.

Major responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements;
• Team Management and Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement;
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with other departments to prepare budgets and forecasts. Provide financial analysis and guidance on cost reduction and revenue enhancement;
• Internal Controls and Processes: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets. Continuously review and improve accounting processes and systems for better efficiency and accuracy;
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Oversee tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and ensure compliance with all tax regulations;
• Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors during annual audits. Ensure all audit requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner;
• Financial Analysis and Advisory: Provide strategic financial analysis and advice to senior management. Support decision-making with financial insights and analysis.

Requirements for this position are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; A master’s degree or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 3 years in a managerial role;
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards (such as GAAP or IFRS), and regulations;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
• Management, communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in both Albanian and English;
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity;
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to adapt to changing environments;
• Resident in Fier.
