Construction Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervises and manages construction projects.
• Solving problems and providing technical advice.
• Ensuring equipment, procedures and projects comply with safety regulations.
• To work with the planning and management for the construction of buildings and infrastructure.
• To check the construction work for accuracy, adequacy and adherence to instructions.
• Making sure budgets, timescales, and project specification are met.
• Determine company's construction needs; performing inspections to determine work requirements and conformance to applicable standards.
• Ensure the quality performance of construction works consistent with standards approved by the company.
• To implement a project, or to repair or rebuild existing buildings or infrastructure that have been damaged or destroyed in natural or man made disasters.
• Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventative maintenance projects.
• Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.
• To complete the project in a timely manner, safely, and with cost saving measures.
• Responds to all building related safety concerns.
• Dealing with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the company.

Requirements of the position:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction in engineering disciplines
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering
• Very good knowledge of AutoCAD and other programs used for engineering
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
• Effective organizational skills
• Able to work with others as well as independently
• Very good communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Valid driver’s license
