Reports to: Head of Custody & Depository Unit
TIRANA BANK, one of the leading banks in Albania and member of Balfin Group, is currently seeking to hire a hardworking and proactive Specialist to join Custody & Depository Unit.
The Custody & Depository Operations Specialist will be responsible for developing expertise in core Custody and Funds Depository Operations activities. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment. In this role, the Custody Operations Specialist will need to balance multiple tasks in order to meet tight deadlines.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Timely, accurate, and consistent processing of security set up and maintenance;
- Clients’ Securities Safekeeping Accounts set up and maintenance;
- Review, reconcile, trade, and allocate in-kind assets received;
- Conduct transactions settlement process for Primary and Secondary Securities
- Market;
- Process trades and ensure accurate posting of all trades to accounting system;
- Accurately process all income payments including Coupon Collection and Maturities;
- Conduct daily price valuation of securities held in Funds accounts;
- Accurately process all transaction and data imports from institutional investors;
- Perform reconciliation process and ensure immediate action, research, and troubleshoot all reconciliation outages;
- Perform audits and controls for the data and valuation integrity of all security information;
- Perform audits and controls on Funds NAV and unit price calculation;
- Perform audits and controls on Funds Assets regarding Investment Limits enforced by the law;
- Perform audits and controls on Funds contributors’ transactions to ensure precise and proper units/quotas allocation;
- Prepares regulatory and statistical reports;
- Be an active participant in problem resolution process;
- Work effectively as a team member as well as independently;
Required experience:
- 3 years minimum of Banking experience
Required education:
- Bachelor in Economy
- Other related Diplomas
Required competencies / skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Ability to complete daily work/tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Computer literacy with a focus on Excel
- The ability to quickly master business systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills
- Very good knowledge and use of English language (verbal and written)
- Possessing strong work ethics
