Balfin is looking for an experienced finance manager for one of its companies in the insurance industry.

Job Position: Finance Manager
Department: Finance
Location: Tirana

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper implementation of finance, accounting, payments and auditing procedures.
• Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting and auditing standards.
• Manage, control & supervise the accounting functions.
• Setup and manage cost accounting for company activity.
• Responsible for the fixed asset management of the companies.
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate statutory reporting and managerial accounting.
• Responsible for preparing financial reporting to supervisory bodies.
• Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management.
• Supervise projects/department accounting, making sure that each project/department has a budget, actual costs are booked correctly per project/department and/or cost centers, and overall project results and profitability are tracked and reported accurately and timely.
• Interact with other head of departments and managers to provide support through financial and information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
• Forecast cash flow position and needs, make sure there are sufficient funds to meet operational and capital requirements.
• Maintain banking relationship for day-to-day operations and proper management of bank accounts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• University Degree – in finance / accounting
• Minimum 4-5 years progressing finance or accounting experience
• Knowledge of ALPHA accounting system is an asset
• Previous experience with an insurance company is advantageous
• Strong technical skills in accounting, management reporting
• Strong analytical skills, stress resistant
• Self-motivated, capable of leading and motivate people.
• Good communicator, both oral and written
• Language skills: Albanian and good English, any other language is an asset
