Data Center Services Specialist


Duties


  • Designs solutions for solving complex customer problems using company or customer furnished equipment.
  • Installs, develops, implements, and customizes hardware and software system elements.
  • May work on equipment or software design; engineering evaluation or test; configuration management procedures; statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Works with end users and may assist with training.
  • May provide technical expertise through identification of new processes and technical alternatives to resolve problems and/or for general improvements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of catering a message appropriately for a given audience as well as applying business acumen to technology opportunities.

Skills


  • Proven track record in managing and winning major opportunities, with the ability to work unsupervised; ability to interact as a value-added team member
  • Ability to manage a long and complex sales cycle.
  • Experienced in multi-level selling, comfortable influencing CxO, IT Managers, Purchasing, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Good listening and strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Data Center Architectures and Services incorporating Applications, Servers,
  • Storage, and Data Center Switching technologies
  • Requires a solutions sales approach versus a product “box drop”

Experience


  • Minimum five to seven years’ experience in data center, server, or application networking industries.

Education


  • Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field
