The office was founded in 1961 as “Office for Applied Geology and Engineering of Edmondo Forlani”. In 1982 it has changed into a limited company, named SGAI Ltd – Office for Applied Geology and Engineering of E. Forlani & C.
As a natural consequence of its international vocation, in 2012 has opened a branch, SGAI BALCANI in Tirana (Albania), appointed to logistic base for its inclusion in the markets of the entire area of the Balkans: the Branch coordinates, in fact, the design activities in this territory, enhancing its technical structure thanks to a highly qualified technical staff in the fields of applied geotechnics in engineering and structural calculations also thanks to a partnering with local advisors well rooted in the area.
The office, in the course of over 50 years of experience in the field, in addition to the usual engineering design and geological / geotechnical activities has acquired specialist knowledge, national and international, in different and specific areas including:
- Desing: Infrastructure, Galleries, Bridges, Viaducts, Dams, Roads, Rail
