KMY was established in 1992 in Tirana, as an importing meat company under the
name of ‘’SAGI”. The only company which in 1997 built an establishment only for meat
processing products in Albania. Given that within the plant included the fi rst slaughter
house of the city, the company changed the name to Kombinati Mishit Tirane. Within
the construction of the slaughterhouse, meat processing plant, a plant for production
of sausages and bacon, refrigeration facilities , the company continued its importing
business. During the years, the slaughter house enabled the company to slaughter
and process all the kinds of fresh meat. KMY supplies with fresh and frozen meat many
supermarkets, restaurants, schools, fast foods and hotels all around Albania. In addition
to meat processing and sausage production, KMY opened even a chain of supermarkets
in Tirana & Durres city. The supermarkets of KMY are constructed conform all
the standards required by the European Committee , by providing protection and trading
of products in very good and secured conditions for the consumers. Actually
