Our client is Carrefour, the largest retailer in Europe and the world’s second-largest one, with presence in 34 countries and generated sales of € 101 billion in 2010. It employs over 475,000 people globally and runs 15,500+ stores, both company-operated and franchised, in four main formats: hypermarkets, supermarkets, hard discount and convenience stores. Carrefour Group is currently expanding its activities on the Balkans, through its long lasting partnership with Marinopoulos group, with an operation in Albania and is looking for a pro-active individual with strong project-management skills to undertake the position of:

System Administrator(SA)

Reporting to the Finance Manager, based in Albania, and the IT Manager, based in Bulgaria, you will be in charge of implementation, testing and setting the parameters of the network system within the newly established company. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance of all IT systems with the local regulations and tax requirements as well as for implementing an adequate Information Security in the organization. Further to that, you will cover the application of appropriate operational systems within specific user environment and the use of technical and programme resources. In addition, you should establish and maintain relations with local suppliers of IT services and small equipment and procure and install new equipment and software as necessary. You will train the local store teams in proper usage of the company software and hardware and be the contact point when any difficulties arise from the use of computer equipment and software.
The role is suitable for a communicative and reliable professional with disciplined approach and
well-developed organizational skills who is procedure- and compliance-oriented.

In addition, the following characteristics are also needed:

· University degree in Engineering or Computer science
· 3-5 years LAN experience on an IT Systems Administration role, preferably in an international environment
· Previous experience in the retail industry would be considered as an advantage
· Stress resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently
· Fluency in English, French is welcome
