Job position: Communication Officer-NGO
Contract Terms: 1 year
Location: Tirana, Albania.

Profesionisti Recruitment Agency on behalf of a development organization in Albania is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Communication Officer.

Main job purpose: To ensure that project work is communicated properly for information dissemination to key stakeholders and beneficiaries, and especially for purposes of facilitating development work and scaling up piloting initiatives in the project in various sectors. Contribute to the knowledge sharing and learning production ad dissemination in close cooperation with Monitoring and Result Manager Lead as well as Component Team Leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assure visibility of organization work following standards of cooperate identity and in close cooperation with stakeholders and partners;
• Further develop and follow overall communication strategy of the organization;
• Develop and consolidate a range of communication- channels; design, disseminate and collect information in close cooperation with staff members and management;
• Foster communication with homologue communication officer of main stakeholders such as ministries, donor, public and private stakeholders, keeping them up-to-date on organization activities, results and events.
• Initiate and follow up communication for development efforts with market systems relevant partners, especially during scaling up and response phase in close cooperation with CTLs;
• Keep contacts with media outlets and provide them with respective materials and presentations;
• Represent the organization vis-à-vis the media, partner institutions and other key strategic stakeholders;
• Prepare communication material for various events and activities, such as written short-stories or videos; update the website, social media and newsletter accordingly;
• Provide capacity development in terms of communication, outreach and branding to the team;
• Contribute to knowledge management and capitalization of experiences;

Education:

• University degree: BA or MA in journalism, communication, or proven work experiences in communication.

The following Work Experiences, skills, and expertise are needed:

• 3-5 years of experience in communication and PR activities in the development sector.
• Experience in portfolio management, including budgeting and administration.
• Ambitious and a creative self-starter;
• Ability to work independently but also as part of a larger team;
• Ability to write attractive and comprehensive documents in English and Albanian;
• Superior communication and presentation skills.
