Job position: Senior Paralegal Officer

Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and professional Senior Paralegal Officer to join an International Company based in Doha (Qatar) with a heritage that dates back to 1945. This role oversees the Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective unit within

Duties and Responsibility:

  • Reviewing of all kinds of contracts/agreements related to the group, or its affiliates and subsidiaries
  • Liaising with 3rd parties & suppliers in negotiating terms of the contracts/agreements.
  • Draft common agreement format for 3rd party compliance
  • Safe guard the interests of the company and then the 3rd party by ensuring compliance with the law
  • Review the license and registration of 3rd parties for services obtained
  • Guides, Advises and provide thought leadership to colleagues with the legal dept, and the divisions.
  • Reviewing all kinds of agreements and contracts relevant to the business of the group, its affiliates and subsidiaries
  • Reading of GCC laws & regulations in relation to group, its affiliates and subsidiaries
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts/agreements with contractors, suppliers and any other service providers.
  • Ensures that the organization and its subsidiaries, affiliates, are up to date with the current and existing law on corporate related matters.
  • Revision of legal translation as may be required.
  • Assists in the studies and researches, and also ensures compliance of the legal process with the best practice laws and corporate legal standards.
  • Interfacing with 3rd Parties and Suppliers on legal matter related to the organization, its affiliates and sister companies?
  • And other duties as may be deemed necessary.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (LLB/ BA in commercial law) is a must and MBA is preferred (legal background).
Work Experiences and required skills:
  • At least eight (8) experience in a law firm with industrial clients or at a MNC’s (with diversified business) corporate law department with similar field/industry
Language skills:
  • Fluent in English (written and oral). French is an advantage
Other interpersonal Skills:
  • Handles confidential information in a professional manner
  • Attention to detail, quality output
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively present information to shareholders, top management, public groups, and boards of directors
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, including total command of language/grammar usage and complete familiarity with business terminology
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents
  • Advanced analytical/negotiation skills required
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Extensive knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must possess a willingness to work a flexible schedule on occasion
  • Excellent computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Sense of urgency and desire to succeed

Perks & Benefits:

  • Salary: For Single Status: 4400-5200$ and for Family Status: 4900-5500$
  • The Company is providing allowances apart from the Basic Salary such as Housing and Transportation for the employees. If the employees are married, the company is providing a family status in which the company can provide yearly tickets and private medical insurance coverage for their immediate family.
  • The company is also providing temporary accommodation for 15-30 days to new joiners upon arrival while they are looking for their place to stay. This will be debited from their housing allowances on prorated basis until they are able to find their own apartments.
