Overall Job Definition

The Accounting Officer will provide accounting support related to cards and e-channels transactions, including bookkeeping entries, controls, and reconciliations of the accounts related to these products.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Examine every day the incoming and the precision of Euronet / VISA reports;
  • Execute the verification and the selection of the reports according to the process of Visa Credit Card Classic, Visa Gold, Visa Electron, ATM and POS Merchants Acquiring;
  • The composition of the accounting and the reconciliation of the positions with:
    • Clearing and Settlement with Deutsche Bank (International transactions) and Bank Of Albania (National transactions);
    • The payment accountings executed in automatic and manual way with Tirana Bank cards (credit cards);
    • The Charge Back accountancy; The Refund accountancy; Monetary Adjustment entries;
    • The bookkeeping entries and the accounting of products related to cards such as incomes, commissions, the interest receiving from issuing, the annual subscriptions of the cardholders, etc.;
    • Transactions reconciliation for the product known as “Fast Funds”;
    • The verification of merchant’s accounts in order of the inputs executed from the authorized persons;
    • Crediting the merchants’ accounts according to the executed transactions and the currencies, which were used for their accomplishment;
    • The verification and the reconciliation of the accounts after processing them in the core banking system - EQUATION;
  • Reconcile all internal suspense Products Accounts;
  • Perform Accounting Entries related to the possible Imbalances of Winbank service;
  • Perform Accounting Entries related to the possible Imbalances of the offsite TB ATMs;
  • Maintain liaison and communication with Euronet for several possible issues – Third Party Processor;
  • Perform any other duty that is delegated to them by their supervisor.

Competencies / Skills:


  • University degree in Economy or related field;
  • At least 2-3 years of banking experience; experience on Cards & E-channels products will be considered an advantage;
  • Demonstrate ability to clearly and effectively give information to individuals or a group within the Bank, if it is necessary;
  • Ability to handle pressure and accomplish the unit objectives within set time frames;
  • Very accurate and pay attention to details;
  • Very good knowledge of English language in written and oral;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT);
