Business Data Analyst

SCOPE: The Data Analyst is responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis. The position is focused on seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and using the applicable business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company. The Data Analyst will work closely with business unit leaders across sales, marketing, customer service, operations and finance to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for employees to follow. They will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other presentation software. Experience with Power BI preferred
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers e.g., sum, variance, percent
  • Some college coursework or active pursuit of formal education preferred
  • Reliable with exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative environment
  • Must excel in a fast-paced business environment while demonstrating composure and professionalism
  • Previous programming experience helpful
PREFERRED:
· Proficient with leveraging the SQL query language
· Training and/or certification in data analytics methodologies and toolsets
· Experience in Jira is a plus

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Continuous review and remediation of system data to support accurate client data in their online experience and client reporting
  • Responsible for the coordination, preparation, and review of client reports in conjunction with the Client Services Team
  • Create, gather, and analyze presentation materials for client reviews. Includes year over year analysis and predictive analysis
  • Preparation and distribution of weekly and monthly standard reports, and ad hoc report upon request
  • Internal project support for Client Service initiatives
  • Provide internal assistance with business presentation materials
  • Audit client portal reports for accuracy
  • Develop and maintain the guideline and instruction manuals, support
  • Content and documentation management for shared team use
  • May communicate or correspond with external service providers, clients, and vendors as required
  • Preparation of various collateral materials
  • Maintains process and change documents
  • Continuously seeking to improve skills and knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned
