Job position: Accountant
Contract Terms: Indefinite
Location: Doha (Qatar).

Summary: We are looking for an Accountant to join an International Company based in Doha (Qatar) with a heritage from 1945.

This role individually contributes at a junior level towards recording and maintaining books of accounts as per company policies and accounting standards toward achieving the short to medium-term goals of the Business Unit.

Duties and Responsibility:

• Timely presentation of Debit Notes / Credit Notes to Customers &Suppliers.
• Timely payments to suppliers
• Periodical follow-up on all money due to the Company.
• Customer Account reconciliations
• Inter Unit reconciliations
• Timely recording of transactions in the General Ledger and various sub-ledgers and special modules like
• HRMS, Telephone Module, etc.
• Responsible for Costing of inventory.
• Preparation of documents related to banks (Daily deposit Slips, LCs, Payments, cheques, etc.)
• Timely recording of employee-related affairs in HRMS.
• Processing payroll in conjunction with HRMS and employee accounts in GL/ AR.
• Raising of CAPEX, recording of asset purchases, disposals, transfers, write-offs, etc., in Fixed Assets
• Monthly Bank reconciliations.
• Assisting the verification of inventory, cash, and fixed assets.
• Assisting in the implementation of finance policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing the Credit Control Policy.
• Petty Cash management (where ever applicable).
• Any other functions assigned by the immediate supervisor about the functional area.
• Works towards the timely execution of tasks required to achieve the department's short-term strategic goals

Education:

• Minimum University degree in Accounting & Commerce from a Reputed University or partly qualified in a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, and CA

Work Experiences and required skills:

• Minimum two years experience in a similar accounting environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and other financial applications.

• Good command of the English language (written and spoken).

• Basic Salary: 1100$-1600$ NET
• The Company provides allowances apart from the Basic Salary, such as Housing and Transportation (860-1440$) for the employees.
