Job position: Accounts Supervisor
Contract Terms: Indefinite
Location: Doha (Qatar)

Summary: We are looking for an experienced and professional Accounts Supervisor to join an International Company based in Doha (Qatar) with a heritage from 1945.

This role individually contributes expertly to reviewing internal controls across FMCG (Fast-moving consumer goods) business. Also, it conducts extensive analysis of critical business data for reporting and decision-making.

Duties and Responsibility:

• Perform monthly reviews of the overdue receivables across FMCG (Fast-moving consumer goods) with the team and assess follow-up activities on the related payments.
• Ensure Divisions maintain adequate cash management controls, and check that cash & cheques across FMCG are deposited in the bank the following day.
• To assess the mechanisms instituted by the Divisions to monitor the adequacy of cash and fidelity insurance cover.
• Review the stock aging by Agency with the support of the Division Supply Chain and review the action plan/s adopted by the Division Management.
• GIV/ Samples charged to the P&L monthly – review the divisions' documents and confirm they strictly adhere to the policies.
• Conduct monthly reviews of the key Accounts Payable accounts and analyze long-outstanding payments and any debits to the key supplier accounts.
• Review the Debit Note and Charges Recoverable account aging monthly with the ARSS team and assess the follow-up actions.
• Review and report the Stock on Hold report monthly across FMCG divisions.
• Review and report the Van O/S report monthly, especially on the over dues and follow-up for the payment.
• Present and report the Snapshot of the month-end van stock status with monthly sales achievement.
• Review and report all stock status monthly.
• Report on the Stock over 90 days' variance versus budget with reasons monthly. All key variances are to be cross-checked for justification with Division Finance & Supply Chain Teams.
• Review the available ASN report quarterly, and highlight it to SCM.
• Review the process improvement recommendations made by the internal audit department to the Divisions; and assess the actions taken by Management to mitigate highlighted risks.
• Review the Van profitability report quarterly and report the same to Division FM and GM.
• Monitor the location-wise stock value and recommend the division for necessary changes regarding the stock insurance policy coverage.
• Conduct quarterly CAPEX reviews across the Divisions to ensure all latest Fixed Assets acquisitions are conducted in line with the FA Policy, and review any disposals and write-offs versus policy requirements;
• Replacing the customer executive / Fleet coordinator in their annual leave and emergencies.
• Consistently review the key areas to improve the internal controls surrounding such areas, including:
1. Sales & Receivables;
2. Procurement & Accounts Payable;
3. Inventory Management;
4. Cash Management;
5. Fixed Assets Management;
6. Operating Expenditures; and
7. Key areas recommended by FMCG Management from time to time.
8. Ensure key business risks are adequately covered under insurance.
9. Keep work samples and records for future reference.
• Follow up on the internal audit recommendations across FMCG, keep an update on the WIP, and review those with the division FMs periodically.
• Coordinate with the division financial analyst and gather necessary data on time, especially on FMCG top 10 control review.
• Creative thinking always looks for areas of improvement with suggestions.

Education:

• Minimum University Degree in Accounting & Commerce from a reputed University or fully qualified in a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, and CA

Work Experiences and required skills:

• Experience with FMCG businesses and proper operational appreciation of key processes is preferable.
• Experience: Minimum five years experience in a similar finance or accounting role, exposed to extensive financial analytics, internal controls, and management reporting
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and, in particular, EXCEL skills.
• Basic knowledge of data analytics (practices & tools).

Language skills:

• Very good command of the English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of any other language would be an asset;

• Basic Salary: Over 2150-2550$
• The Company provides allowances apart from the Basic Salary, such as Housing and Transportation (1780-1820$) for the employees.
