JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Human Resources Specialist


Fundamental Purpose:

Responsible for staffing the needs of the government security solutions division, this will involve building a highly dynamic team by recruiting roughly 20 people (mainly engineers and technical profiles) across Albania within short time frame, retaining this people and participating into their growth within the company.
The role also involves health and safety, payroll and HR Administration

This position reports to the GM Manager of SS Albania.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Recommends and implements local hiring strategy to ensure the right person is in the right position within the agreed project deadlines.
  • Recommend and implement remuneration levels aligned with local standards and consistent with GSSD existing schemes to attract and retain employees.
  • Organize and execute payroll
  • Work closely with SS HR GSSD team in Switzerland to ensure consistency in HR management throughout the GSSD division, while adapting to local standards.
  • Support GSSD managers on all HR matters, including but not limited to recruitment, development and training needs, remuneration and evaluation issues.
  • Ensure equity fairness & consistency in the way people are managed and rewarded
  • If necessary, propose alternative/additional/new way of remunerating the employees (compensation & benefits) based on the Albanian practical pay conditions and within SS Group guidelines.
  • Design, organize and implement the individuals’ development plans to motivate the employees and to make them qualified to the latest technologies on the market.
  • Ensure HR activities meet with and integrate within organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety and legal constraints.
  • Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and overall achievements.
  • Liaise with national institutions on HR related matters (social security etc)

Knowledge and skills:
  • This role requires a capable and experienced HR Manager with at least 3 years’ experience as HR Generalist. The successful candidate should have proven successful experience in recruitment of highly qualified technical profiles, good understanding of Albanian principles and procedures for personnel selection and recruitment, expertise in management of compensation and benefits, including knowledge on handling shift work, (good understanding in labor relations).
  • Understanding of resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Fluent in written and oral English are necessary.
  • Ability in working on own initiatives under high pressure and achieving target results are mandatory. Demonstrated ability to recruit critical positions within a specific short time frame is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in a high tech solutions and service-related environment is essential.
