Position Description

Position: Service Technician

Department: Equipment Maintenance

Reports to: Equipment Maintenance Team Leader


Primary Responsibility:
Support our customer by performing skilled electrical and mechanical alteration work in installation, support maintenance and repairs of SS products.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
§ Provide on site customer support.
§ Install company’s product.
§ Troubleshoot, test, maintain, replace or repair electrical and/or mechanical related problems.
§ Troubleshoot test and repair computer software, hardware and applications.
§ Document and report all onsite service related activity.
§ Perform first level customer support functions.
§ Perform preventive maintenance on company’s products.
§ Investigate and resolve mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
§ Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components and record effects and impact on them.
§ Escalate unresolved problem/issue to second level according to the standard operating procedures.

Experience & Skills Required:
§ Able to work any time 24 hours per day seven days a week.
§ Able to do shift work.
§ Proficient in local language - spoken and written (mandatory); basic knowledge of English.
§ Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
§ Basic computer hardware and software skills (industrial computing, network, PLC programming) - PLC: Programmable Logic Controller.
§ Ability to understanding and following sketches, electrical, electronics, mechanical and pneumatics’ diagrams, oral and written instructions.

Personal Profile:
§ Professional Certificate, diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Technician or equivalent; DUT, Bac +2/3.
§ 3 - 4 years relevant experience or equivalent (ex. Like Siemens, Schneider, Schindler or Toshiba, Industrial Inkjet printing, modern printing house, on-call service experience…)
§ Proficient in interpreting electrical/electronic/mechanical drawing.
§ Capable of using and caring for electrical and mechanical tools, and test equipment
§ Capable of working under tight time pressure and directly with customers.
§ Must be customer oriented.
§ Good initiative and ability to overcome obstacles.
§ Good teamwork spirits and team player.
